buyer protection abuse

has anyone been in the situation when an item has been sold , then delivered and the buyer decided to change their mind and instead of using th enormal return after being abusive and threatening, decide to abuse the returns policy (  safe in the knowledge that if you say itsdefective it automatically becomes a sellers issue)

 

i reported this , and then the phillapine ebay is the only contact i have

 

they had logged, told be to block the buyer, and then continued to say i have to pay for the return as the item is defective

 

i said its not , and it was the in appropriate communications that i posted back into the resolution centre of the demands , to which again ebay stated pay for the items return

 

challenging again due to the abuse and conduct, i said i said return the items as your never going to be happy , and i can re sell them ( it was when the buyer noticed that i had lost out to ebays postage cost calculator on this item and two tyres cost £20 to return not 9.99 which i had paid at the loss as some you win some you lose)

 

further threats

 

to which ebay noted, the behaviour. told to block and report and it will be investigated

 

the phillapine ebay support again as no UK at any chat or 3 x 60 min phone calls to which Myla stated she would contact the buyer to return the items and then its will have a tracking and will refund

 

5 days later

 

I have had a dispute closed... WITH NO APPEAL

 

i contacted and AGAIN Phillapines ????!!!! following a script

 

the script again goes and says the buyer has abused the returns , but its what it is I have not paid for the items return the buyer has won the right to keep the items and have his refund

 

so i am now without the items, without my money and without an appeal

 

and all calls and chat is pointless as they admit they condone buyying, condone the abuse of the returns procedure and have not safeguarded a seller as it the new agreement we have

 

also

 

the refund is FRAUD as its not for the item as i went to pay pal and the bank

 

As eBay has put the refund as eBay Fees, it is on instant payment system and all payments invoiced as 'ebays fees' are instant payment and unable to be suspended as fraud

 

my bank has also said this along with Pay Pal the means of taking the money from the bank

 

so

 

remeber if you decide to return an item to abuse the system by saying its defective and the seller has to pay for the return postage as well as the initail posytage and all the transaction gets refunded so out of pocket for the two postage costs!!!

 

does anyone know of the common sense depertments email or phone as the online Chat / Phone is Phillapines and they have a script and go to this to the tee and have no manner of resolving , along with the frustration of this and then having all the information about this and then in full knowledge about the manner the buyer has a bused the system, the fact i have neither the product AND now the money and have no appeal procedure as they say it is closed 'without appeal'

 

as this is Wrong on another level for sellers

It is wrong on many levels but it's also why there's no point refusing a return with gritted teeth and you get a refund of your selling fees although you lose out on the postage, you do get the items back to sell again.

 

You're wasting your breath appealing and you can't cancel a reimbursement payment method so all that remains is, (if you're so inclined and I would be), to pursue the matter outside eBay until it is resolved.


I would get whatever advice was appropriate to my course of action before doing that though.
