I m baffled that ebay puts every buyer safety at risk by using such an app requesting a scan of people s face and their credit card account even though we all handed ebay our DOB when we registered. I feel very disappointed as a loyal Ebay customer, seller and buyer. If they let things happen like this it means ebay is actually the opposite of safe and I m considering checking out safer apps to sell and buy online. I advice everyone to do that before their identity is stolen by any hacker while you hand all your data over to Verify My Age for all of these dodgy new friends of ebay to sell to advertisers all your information or pass it for scrutiny so you can be worse off in some way.. This isn t what I signed up for and Ebay took the freedom to make it mandatory for me to be live-scanned only because I need a inhaler to kick a nicotine habit... I m too old to not see how awful it is to be forced to hand yr privacy and credit card details over to anyone. It is so sad when a bunch of tech companies prevaricate and behave like pirates in the name of safety when all they are really doing is putting you as a loyal customer at serious risk. Disgusted.
