for a very long time it has been possible to have two ebay accounts sending sales revenue to a single paypal account.
on the SYI form you just had to enter email address of the paypal account the sales revenue should go to. now, with Managed Payments, has this flexibility been lost? is it strictly one eBay account per Bank account?
i suspect it will be one only and a new Bank account will need to be opened. and if so will MP happily accept a brand new account with no user history and no statements available if needed for identity confirmation?
on the other hand, if it is actually possible to use the same bank for both, great, although i do wonder if it will be clear, from the statement entries, which of the two eBay accounts the funds are coming from?
this is very basic and important stuff, so i am rather surprised there are zero posts on this subject. before attempting to set up MP on two accounts, very many sellers will be needing answers to the central question:-
$$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$
once one eBay account is set up for Managed Payments with a particular Bank account, including direct debit mandate, what happens if the same Bank account details are entered when setting up MP for the second eBay account? does MP accept? or reject because Bank account already associated with the first eBay account?
$$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ + $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$
the FAQs say nothing about any of this either. surely it affects very many sellers all deserving to be better informed while the hugely impactful Managed Payments changeover is upon us big-time now 😐
and finally.. OP can report that the answer to this was already on here. apparently it is ok to have more than one ebay account MP set up on the same bank account. one post says they have six! thanks @tobiasd4 for keeping my thread alive. heres the thread that solved it:-
The name you use on ebay, e.g. John Smith, must match name on bank account.
