Suspect Returns

I am feeling very frustrated and wondering if any other ebay sellers have had similar experiences as I am relatively new to this?
I had taken the time to package up an item throughly with bubble wrap/boxed and "fragile" tape, which incidentally cost me more to post than the person paid - once they received it they asked for a refund as it was damaged!! The item certainly did not leave me like that and I can't help wonder if they just "changed their mind" and using the excuse of item not being as described??
I have sold a few items recently via eBay as I am moving and having to downsize, but these experiences are definitely putting me off as I feel the Seller is not particularly protected by ebay in this - despite it saying "no returns accepted" you are expected to refund as you will receive negative feedback from the Buyer if you don't!! Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and how they handled the situation - thank you in advance

Sorry but there is no easy way out of the Situation. You only have 3 Business days to Accept the Return and then generate a Returns Label through the Case. If you don't receive your Item back in the same Condition you sent it in, you can Appeal to Ebay. Part and Parcel of Selling on here unfortunately. Your EBay Final Value Fees will be Credited back to your Seller Account.

No Returns is just for a straight forward Change of Mind Return. Buyer pays the Return Postage.

It is recommended to Accept Returns within 14 days. You do then find that any Sold Item is returned in good condition, rather than being damaged so Seller pays the Return Postage for an Item Not As Described.
