Shipping and delivery dates

I have just today (16th November 2020) received an item that was ordered and paid for on the 6th of this month from a "UK" seller.  Directly I paid for this the notification confirmed the payment went to China.  The delivery date was originally put down as the 13th November, even that for Royal Mail is a long time for a UK delivery.  The package arrived and it is obvious from a sticker which is basically a customs declaration that the item had just arrived from overseas.  Still it had arrived and it works so went to leave a bit of feedback to find hey presto, the delivery date had changed to the 17th suggesting the item had arrived early when in fact it was late.  Question here is why are sellers who do not have their finances within UK juristiction but purport to be sellers from the UK, only by virtue of the fact someone here sticks another label on the package and posts it on, are allowed to do this,  and how do they get away with changing the delivery date to suit their feedback score??  This is another "UK Seller" trading for about a year with already 3k plus sales under their belt.  Try and buy a night vision camera from a "UK Seller" and NOT find their bank account is in HK or PRC
