Seller won't refund faulty item after 30 days

Hi I bought a fishing rod just over 30 days ago. Used twice and reel seat isnt fixed to the rod and twists around rod when I'm using so a clear manufacturer fault. Buyer won't accept return or refund. Surley as a registered business they have to refund a faulty item, if I bought from a shop they would take it back. Just doenst seem fair I'm now 75 pounds out of pocket. Can anyone advise how I can resolve this please
