Returned item not being received

Hi, 

Recently I had purchased an item that i no longer wanted and therefore I open a return request. After the first process, I sent the item back but the item was not received by the seller. 

After 'in transit' it said 'Recipient Carded' at 10:56 AM. 

Then it said 'Recipient Carded' again but this time at 1:54 PM.

Now I beleive this means the seller has not received the item (he might have moved houses). Because of this, I am wondering how I will get my refund back since eBayy always inform me to 'give up to 6 days for a refund ONCE SELLER HAS RECEIVED ITEM' but the problem is he hasn't. 

There is tracking information and evertything but it is not my resbonsibility of the item being received rather it is the seller's because for sure it has turned up to his house. 

Any ideas or solutions to this issue i have.
