Return item

Wow, awful customer service from Ebay, seems it's impossible to speak to a human these days from this mega rich company.  Standard electronic menus, online in this case are useless and time consuming.  Does anyone know, if I want to return an item, how to, A, get the sellers address and ,B, not have to use the ridiculous return shipping label printing rubbish that Ebay lumbers you with? I don't want to use the options that Ebay gives you and not let you bypass. Please help as normal personal service is clearly not within Ebay's remit

You can source your own Postage. You would have to Contact Ebay though, to update the Tracking Number to the one you have.

Why do you want to return the item

If you have changed your mind then you send the seller a revision request

If they have returns accepted on their listing then you can return it at your own expense by a tracked method of postage.

If it is an item then is not as described

Open a not as described dispute at the bottom of the page under Resolution Centre.

Escalate it after a full 3 days of opening the dispute.

The seller needs to send a pre paid label for the return.

If they dont then ebay should when you escalate the dispute.

Make sure it goes back tracked and that the tracking is in the dispute.

You have 30 days from the day of delivery to open a dispute in ebay

If you have been sent a label then you do not have to use it

If you send the item back yourself then you must send it tracked or with the 16 digit code from a PO receipt

You must make sure the tracking/code is on the dispute/case

All disputes have to be done through the proper methods otherwise you have no way to force the seller to deal with the problem
