Retracted bid

I’ve had an email stating the latest/highest bid has been retracted and to view bidding history to establish why it’s been retracted. When I go to bidding as it’s still live it only shows the first bid, not the one that has now retracted, there is no link to bidding history so I don’t know why it’s been retracted. Anyone know how I see why the retraction has been made? TIA

If it's the iphone, the bidding history shows that a bidder with 18 feedback bid for it on 15/11, and retracted the bid on 16/11.

No reason is given. EBay used to record the reason. Perhaps they've stopped doing this, unless you as the seller are the only one able to see it.

Sellers should be able to see the reason, as invalid bid retractions are reportable.

I’m the seller, eBay notified me of the retracted bid with an email telling me to go to bidding history link to see why but the link doesn’t exist!

Red magpie - doh completely misunderstood your initial reply, yes it was re the iPhone
So how can you see the bidding history and I can’t? I don’t even have a notification about the bid so no idea what it was at 🤷‍♀️ Oh well see what happens, thanks for your reply 😊

Click on the bids in brackets (1) then scroll down the page to see the retraction
it should tell you why
If it is not one of the reasons to retract then report it
