Requested a new order total from the seller, but seller has not received request.

I recently won three items from the same seller and was hoping to combine postage for the three, so from the shopping basket page, I clicked on 'Request Total' and sent the seller a message asking if they could combine the postage.
They have since messaged me asking for payment, and when I replied by asking about my request to combine payment they said they had not received the request, but would be happy to do so, so asked me to send another request, which I have done, but they have not yet replied.

I have also realised that I should have received a copy of both requests when I sent them, but have not received anything, so I am not sure if either request has actually been sent correctly, even though it said on screen that they had been.

Does anyone know what the problem is, or how I could resolve it?

They don't need your request.   They can just issue a combined invoice.     If they're on My eBay tell them to click on Send Payment Details, far right of one item on sold page, change the postage and submit. 

Or on seller hub to go to the Orders tab, tick the box beside the orders that need to be combined and select Send Invoice for the orders selected.
