Register for VAT/GST exemption on fees

Dear Sir

I would like to infomr that i got a message to register for VAT/GST. But i dont have VAT/GST number. How can i register for it if i dont have VAT/GST number? Could you please give me advice about it. Have good time.

You have posted on the UK boards, we don't know the GST rules in NZ where you are registered, but in the UK, you don't register for VAT unless you are a business and have a turnover in the 80,000s per annum.
