Refund request

I have purchased something through eBay, I received the items and wasn't as advertised. Personalized cake boxes, with rose gold foil font. The font was mixture of colours certainly not rose gold. I contacted the seller and sent them back via Royal Mail recorded delivery, (not though eBay using there labels).
Seller has since confirmed they have received these back, and said they will sort this out. However since, I have sent seller numerous messages through eBay, only to have one reply, saying, 'I thought this had been sorted out, I will look into it' this was over a week ago. Still had no further contact from seller.
I have tried to contact eBay but can't call a real person (or not able to find the correct number)

The seller has had ample opportunity to rectify this, I have now had enough and want a full refund. How do I go about doing this??

I have messages confirming the seller has received these items back.

It is foolish not to use the eBay system as - whatever the seller says - he may not refund you.  EBay has no way of knowing.

You should have simply opened the case without contacting him.

You can still open the case for "not as described".  You will then have to contact customer service [through "Help and Contact"] to get them to put in your Tracking.  Normally it is automatic with their label.  You will not get the postage you paid back I'm afraid through not using the syetem

It's there for a purpose ...
