How long is a buyer allowed to take to pay for an item ?
I sold an item on the evening of the 8th ending 23.03hrs for £3.00 plus £3.30 postage total £6.30
The buyer had already messaged me regarding specifics of the item before bidding at 14.54hrs, which I answered at 15.06hrs then she thanked me at 15.16hrs. Then buyer bids 24mins before the sale ends and wins the item.
She messages me at 23.05hrs saying she will pay on Tuesday 17th April when she gets paid and then adds that she hopes this is ok, thanks
Does anyone else think this is Utterly Wrong ?? Or am I being picky here in wondering why she couldn’t ask before bidding sinc3 she had already messaged me TWICE
Is she really allowed to do this ?
Thanks for any help
Helen
What a stupid rude buyer.
If a Buyer doesn't pay - After 48 hrs, you can Open an unpaid item case. (Close after 5 days to get your final value fees credit, by selecting buyer didn't pay)
If Buyer still hasn't paid they get an account defect, which helps stop silly buyers wanting to cancel for no good reason.
Neither party can then leave feedback either.

After closing case you can choose to relist or make a second chance offer
You should never simply cancel transaction as it could leave you with fees & a selling defect.
