eBay Easy Returns

ebay easy returns is not making sense to me, am I alone. What happens to the returned item if not sent back to seller, they dont say whether they then charge the seller for the refund. If not why are they creating something  to loss money ? when the normal returns proceedure is already in place.

The seller does not get their item back nor do they refund,they are not involved in Easy Returns at all.

The return is sent to eBays partner where the refund is issued once they confirm receipt,eBays partner can then resell the items.

As I said, does not make any sense, for what reason would a company pay the return postage, then refund item & postage costs to the buyer, at a loss, then try to sell item. this has to be a joke, or what am I missing here.

I had already asked the Community Manager for details. and have sent her a link to your message. From what she has replied to me I cannot see how the seller gets their item back. It seems to me that the existing system is far better. Any system introduced even as a Pilot has to have some benefits for buyers and sellers, and introducing a third party does not appear to give any benefit to anyone unless there is something in it for Ebay.
