Where does a buyer stand when the cost of the actually postage is well below the postage cost paid to the seller

you pay Postage and Packaging to the seller, it isn't just the cost of the stamp,

how much the seller paid for the stamp is irrelevant

you agreed to pay the sellers stated P&P to get the item safely delivered to your door

its a good way of getting extra payment for an item it is dishonest

it isn't 'dishonest' you see the price of the P&P BEFORE you purchase, if you don't like how much the seller is charging, find a different seller, the P&P covers the stamp price, packing materials, time spent and fees paid.

Do you mean that you were charged a lot more than what the actual Postage Cost?  Ebay would say that you accepted the Cost when you Bid on the Item.
