Hi has anyone had a phone call about an order that you have never made and ask to press a number to verify it it was £79. 99 which I cannot afford,anyway I would not spend that kind of money should I inform my bank. Hope someone can help thank uou

You haven't given us much information from which to help you - not even who the call claimed to be from or whether you pressed the number to verify it.

I hope you didn't, as there are plenty of scams around that ask you to do this. If you did press any number to verify it you should certainly contact your bank, if that's who the call claimed to be from.

If you didn't press anything there's no harm done. Whether you should inform your bank depends on whether it claimed to come from them.

It is obviously a phissing scam call.

There are loads around and that is one of them

You never press numbers of a link in either phone calls or emails

If you clicked on the link then yes you call your bank immediately

If you did not and it was a mobile block the number

thank you for your help i did not press any numbers thank goodness i have
blocked the number as the call was on my house phone and i think i will
call into my bank to check .thank you again

You did the correct thing. You cant be too careful
