Just want to put it out there that Ebay has chosen to remove my Top Rated status because I no longer meet the criteria in terms of number of annual sales. Was musing on this whilst driving and thought, hey, we've been on lockdown, we haven't been buying, maybe we've been stressed with family or unusual impediments to working, but Yeah Ebay. Nice support for your business sellers there. Anyone else suffered the same fate?
I have bought a lot of items during lockdown and without exception everything has arrived within the eBay timescale and in many cases has been delivered the next day.
EBay has extended the "delivery prediction date" but in my experience this was not needed. Any delay is not due to postage problems. Our postie says that things are easier due to clear roads. I have sold a couple of items which were delivered normally by Royal Mail.
There may be areas with problems but it is not general. I have a regular [non-eBay] delivery every Wednesday which has arrived every Wednesday.
I feel that eBay expects the sellers to take the decision that if they wish to list they have to comply still with ebay's rules and timescales.
We saw a post some while ago from an [albeit private] seller whose idea was to sell something but not send until "after Covid". He did put a note to that effect in the listing but was surprised when someone bought from him [most would not] and then opened a non-receipt case
