PROBLEMS WITH PUTTING ON A SALE IN MY E-BAY SHOP?

I have had a basic shop on e-bay for a good few years, but recently since they changed the Markdown Manager system I cannot get a sale to activate.  I phoned the technical people about 6 weeks ago and they told me they had had problems but if I wait a couple of days it will be fixed.  I did that and re-did my sale and it went on no bother. 

However, on trying to do one now I keep getting that I have "an active sale" dating from X to 14 days later, but when I check my listings there is NO sale.  I have tried a few times to see if I am missing something, but cannot see whether it is me that is doing it wrong.

I did go on Chat today and they were hopeless, all she said was use a different browser, but I have an up to date browser at the moment so not sure what she means.

I really do not want to revise all my stock one at a time to reduce the prices and also I cannot do that for listings with more than one variation as have sold some items so cannot change the prices - as far as I know that was correct unless that has changed.

Can I say I am not too tech savvy, a pensioner and only do my wee shop as kind of hobby, had to leave work early due to medical reasons, so not going to be a worldwide business person, thanks.

Anyone who can help or see where I might be going wrong would be wonderful.
