Overcharged for Postage

Hi  all

I just received my packages and realised that I have been charged wey too much for the cost of postage.

I bought 5 items for which I was charged £3.20 each for post. What is surprising is that I received all items in one package and the seller has paid £4.20 for everything. Isn't that a bit deceptive?. I'm usually not someone who complains but I wanted to know from the experts in the community if this is the practice.

Thank you

If I had been the seller I would have refunded you some money, but not all sellers are the same.

Unfortunately by buying the items you agreed to the p&p. You may politely ask your seller if they would consider a part refund but neither you nor ebay can enforce it.

Isn't that a bit deceptive?

A bit?? EBay doesn't require sellers to combine postage, and they may have valid reasons for not wanting to. But if they don't, they should pack and post each item separately, as the buyer has paid for.

To charge the full delivery charge for each item, but then combine them in one parcel and keep all the saving for themsleves is just plain mean and sneaky. Your seller should be ashamed of themselves.

EBay won't get involved in postal issues, but in your position I would contact the seller and indicate that you will expect a refund of the additional £12.80 you paid. According to their response, you can leave appropriate feedback and detailed seller ratings for all five items.

Did you ask about combined before bidding or paying.

Most sellers will, but don't have to.

Ebay don't get involved with postage disputes, so this is between you & seller.
