Order cancelled by seller after payment

Hello, I recently purchased a Buy It Now item. The seller tells me that they meant to have bids starting at 99p rather than a Buy It Now at 99p and so has refunded me my money and the order is cancelled.

1) I do not appear to be able to raise this as a dispute with Ebay as that option is no longer available to me...is there a way around this?

2) I would have thought that there is a contract between me and the seller and so the sale must be honoured?

3) Is the only real option open to me, to leave negative feedback?...can they give me negative feedback in retalliation?

Many thanks

I am very sorry that this has happened to you, people do make mistakes but it is very frustrating none-the-less.  Neither you or eBay can force the sale but you can leave appropriate feedback.  If you leave feedback then do not mention eBay, Paypal or any kind of dispute/report as these are grounds for removal.  Sellers can only leave you positive feedback and if the seller leaves a negative comment on a green dot then phone customer support and it will be removed.

There are lots of good sellers on the site and they'd appreciate your business so don't let one bad experience put you off.
