Offer "RESPOND NOW" not working

Made an offer.

Seller declined, made counter offer. The RESPOND link in eBay message just links to original Item listing, does not message seller.

eBay seems to have no way to report/correct this problem.

Any ideas?

the item will have received a bid so all offers and counter offers have been cancelled,

there is nothing to 'report' this is how it is supposed to work
