A buyer has claimed a parcel securely sent by UPS has not arrived. They system for claiming is like wading through treacle and I am being sent round in decreasing circles trying to log in and establish an account to try to claim. Ebay are useless and I keep getting a telephone number to ring that is answered in South America.
(I DON'T EVER WANT AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM TO USE AGAIN I JUST WANT MY FUNDS THAT THE BUYER IS DEMANDING REPAYMENT FROM EBAY)
The parcel was clearly labeled and I have tracking details. My buyer claims it was not received and says it was left in a lock-up (there is no info from UPS with that message so I dont know how she knows that).
Any suggestions please???
I have tracking details.
So what do they say?? This is what we need to know to advise you.
If the item is tracked as delivered, but the buyer claims it wasn't received, just ask them to open a case under eBay's money back guarantee.
If it was tracked as successfully delivered to the buyer's address, and you uploaded this to eBay before the buyer opens a case, eBay will check the record and support you. You won't have to refund the buyer. If it doesn't show successful delivery, you will have to refund them.
It's as simple as that. The process is automated and there is no need to speak to eBay about it.
If it wasn't delivered, it's up to you to claim whatever compensation is available from the courier. EBay is not involved in this.
