It is not mandatory to use that code. Indeed, many sellers do not use the app to run their seller accounts, and that is needed here for that code.
Advise the seller they need to do mark it as paid and dispatched from the Seller Hub.

Click on the square next to the item.
Use the 'More' drop down at the top of the page.
Mark as Payment Received.
