New payment scheme

Today i signed up for the new payment method, directly into the bank and  not using paypal. I then received an email confirming my direct debit. As far as I know I haven't signed up for a direct debit, whats this for?, thanks for your help

the direct debit is to claw back any chargebacks from buyers and to pay any fees that you haven't got enough in credit to pay.

I thought when I signed up that the money you receive is after all fees have been taken off

all final value fees are taken off, but if you incur insertion fees or a buyer initiates a chargeback ebay need a way to get the money back from you

Ebay are changing things soon, they will deduct listing & shop fees from money for sold items, if you don't have enough they will take from bank account.
