Managed payments

Hi All

I have just sold for the first time for a long time and the way we receive payment has changed...

I have had emails saying the buyer has paid but i'm still waiting for the money to hit my bank, 2 days later.

I was almost scammed a while ago when selling a phone with very good fake emails so i'm nervous of this.

Ebay is saying in my sellers hub " Arrange collection" but without the money in my bank I am worried it's not right...

Any help would help

I hear what you are saying and yes i have just sold my first thing under managed Payments and still trying to get used to them.

What i did was........... to make sure everything works as it should .................listed an item and put my shipping as 5 working days.      That way the money hit my bank before my last shipping date.  I still managed to post the item within 3 days 🙂 

My personal advice to other sellers is......if you say cannot afford to post an item before the money is in your bank or you are reluctant to post before it does.....extend your shipping time like i did above.

"Arrange collection" was this a collection in person only sale? If yes then you could have asked for cash on collection in the description. Also if you use the advanced selling form you can tick the box when listing that says something like "contact the seller to arrange payment and collection ". Cash on collection to be honest is the only way to go from a sellers point of view because a buyer could do a chargeback if they pay through a credit card or Paypal 😞
