It can take ages searching through sellers trying to discover what the country of manufacture is.
It doesn't just "take ages," it's impossible.
EBay doesn't provide an option to search for item made in Britain. Or even sold by UK sellers. All you can search for is items "located" in the UK - which includes many items by sellers in China.
I'm afraid you're still living in the 1950's. Next time you're in Marks and Spencer's, try looking for items made in the UK!
What does "made in the UK" mean, anyway? Items supposedly made in the UK today are often only assembled in the UK, or composed of mainly imported components. In any case, "Made in the UK" is sadly no longer the badge of superiority that it was half a century ago.
And the EU now applies tariffs to any "Made in Britain" item where less than 60% is actually made in Britain!
Even if buying from well known British companies, items can be made anywhere in the world.
Also parts are made all over the world, can then be assembled in UK, which makes them British made.
Yourqusetion is very similar to those who do notwant to buy items Made in China.
Any shop in the Country you will find selling something Made in China, it is virtually impossible to avoid. Many UK Companies actually have factories in China, which does at least ensure that they are making goods which meet our standards.
