Linked accounts (paypal)

Hi,

I'm recently getting problems bidding as my paypal and ebay accounts are not linked.

There is a good reason for not linking the accounts;

My Ebay account (with a very complex password) has been hacked and the account used to sell fake goods.

My Paypal account has never been hacked.

If I had linked my Ebay and Paypal accounts (as ebay are trying to bully people into doing) then I would have lost a lot of money.

Yes - paypal would have refunded me (eventually) but I'd rather not have the grief and simply do not trust Ebay with limitless funds (no one should trust anyone with limitless funds, never mind an unaccountable entitiy like ebay). Looks like it might be the end of nearly two decades of using ebay.

Currently, I need to be sure that any items I sell do not impose this unnecessary 'linked accounts' rule. I'm sure ebay will tell us it for our own good but I think its fairly obvious it can only be for ebays benefit.

Shame Ebay feel the need to mess us around like this.
