I recently bought an item and at the checkout, I made sure to put in my correct address and pay. The seller contacts me a couple of days later saying they saw I have multiple addresses and have just sent it and hope it's the right one.
I'm confused as I have bought other things from eBay over the past year or so and all of them have been sent to my correct address, he sends me a screenshot that on his email after I paid, eBay had sent him a very old address that apparently was associated with my account details from about 5 years ago, even though I put in my new address at the checkout page.
I am now out of pocket as I can't get the item back, and it seems an eBay automated email is what told him to send it to an old address. He should've double-checked first and I should've checked my old account information but this seems like an error on eBay's part as we both just did our duties as buyer and seller.
What should I do? I don't want to mark as not delivered as I assume that will cause problems for the seller and he did post the item.
What address is showing on the order if you go into the order details? Is it the one you selected or a different one?
