I am trying to avoid to buy Chinese products.
The important thing is to be wary of buying from sellers in China. This isn't always obvious. You may have to check their feedback page, which shows the country in which they are registered. Many sellers have a UK distribution base which allows them to describe items as UK stock. Some even use a Union Jack to advertise!
The problem buying or importing Chinese made items on eBay is that these may be unbranded or unknown brand names, street market quality goods that no reputable shop would import to resell. These may not even comply with UK safety requirements - UK laws don't apply in China, and faking compliance markings is easy. Unfortunately there are also many small UK entrepereurs on eBay who import cheap Chines goods to resell here. Not to mention criminals who use eBay to pass off Chinese made counterfeits.
Don't confuse dubious direct imports on eBay with the high quality Chinese made products manufactured to order by the big brand names. These are sourced with the benefit of professional buyers and proper quality and safety control standards.
