How to delete an item from my shopping cart that refuses to be removed?

An item mysteriously appeared in my shopping cart which refuses to be removed or placed in the other option of 'Save for Later' as a means of avoiding paying for an item I didn't order or want.

Has anyone encountered such a problem as this before, and if so... can you suggest a solution?

Use a desktop browser and not an app,  use Chrome or Firefox,  hover over the cart and you will see delete,  click on that.
