How many people have bought an item from an eBay seller, only to have it delivered via Amazon Prime?

I'm at a loss.

I bought an item, via eBay, mainly because I hate Amazon's ethos.

Imagine my surprise when said item arrived at my door today - FROM AMAZON.

Hello?  I purchased this item from an eBay seller.  I support eBay.  I love eBay.  Amazon however, are ruddy expensive to buy/sell from and are very draconion ... power mad, in fact!

What are eBays rules/conditions about this?  Does anyone know?

AND, what are eBay doing about it? This is totally unethical.

If it was business seller & uses Amazon as fulfilment centre, then it is allowed.

If you bought from ebay seller & they then ordered from Amazon to send to you, then not allowed & can be reported to ebay.

Drop shipping, as this practice is called, is only allowed where a seller fulfills orders directly from a wholesale supplier.

Listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to the customer is not allowed on eBay. This includes Amazon.

You can find full details here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/drop-shipping?id=4176&st=1...

Drop shipping using Amazon can be reported to eBay here: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/report-trading.html

By the way, if you have to return it for any reason, don't be talked into returning it to Amazon. To comply with eBay's conditions, items must be returned to the address the seller has registered with eBay. Incidentally, using drop shipping is a business activity, so the seller should be registered as a business seller, and is by law required to accept returns for any reason.
