I bought a George formant grill in October that has stopped working. The seller says its up to the manufacturer to refund as its over 30 days. The manufacturers website says if its under 6 months the seller has the responsibility. I can't open a case automatically as my item is not showing on the list?

You are out of time to use the Ebay Money Back Guarantee. Is 30 days from Delivery.

Neither Ebay or PayPal get involved with Warranties. Is between you and the Seller.

Thanks for your reply. It doesn't help me much if the seller won't accept responsibility even though its guaranteed. I can't claim from the manufacturer for another 3 months. I don't have a leg to stand on😥

You bought from the Seller. EBay are just the Selling Platform. These Guarantees are only as good as your ability to enforce them. Manufacturers don't honour them if their Buyer has Sold it onto to someone else. The Guarantee is between the Manufacturer and their Buyer.
