Fees for Royal Mail postage

A question that may have been asked time and time again.

Is it right for eBay to charge a fee on the cost of a Royal Mail postage label.

Eg. I buy a label for £2.80 from Royal Mail - a payment for a service they provide. Is it correct for eBay to charge me a 10 per cent fee for that postage. Is it legal?

Yes it is a question that has been asked numerous times since the fee was introduced 2.5yrs ago - September 2013.

And numerous posters have asked if it is legal.  Some have gone away to prove it is illegal but never returned.  If there was anything illegal about it then I doubt we would still be paying it so long after its introduction.

Ebay don't have to justify the fee, it is part and parcel of the fee structure and every seller who continued to sell or who started to sell after September 2013 accepted it as part of the fee structure.

It doesn't really matter whether it is right or wrong, ebay can charge whatever fees they want to, it's their site, and as a business like any business they out to make money.
