EMAIL sent by ebay dont display at all and some pictures not displayed

Firstly i am using outlook express with windows xp sp3  ...

Im starting to  receive  general emails from ebay that dont show anything  at all  but when examined in message source shows lots of data in the email

  If i receive a bought item email it dose not  display the bought item picture but further down the email the browsing history and  compliment items do display the pictures in the same email

all the text is ok  

OTHER  companies emails display fine   good text and pictures without problem

when i look at the message  data  for the email there are pages and pages of content for different formats and encoding contained within the EBAY email

why is this suddenly happening? ive tried all different types of mime format and set ups  but still the EBAY  emails have problems

this seems to be a specific problem just with ebay emails no others are effected

any help appreciated................................

Ive have since original posting gone over to OUTLOOK and the results are the same also noticed some Pinterest emails do the same  and dont display all the pics so odd behaviour

all i can think is its the way some  senders store the pics on their servers or they down load the pics in some format in the email that is not recognised as never used to be a problem with emails and pics   most other  emails received display fine with pic content

A word of warning, Windows XP is Now too vulnerable to security hacks.

XP was my favourite but its no longer safe + most browsers are becoming only compatible with Windows 10

It might explain your errors.

I've noticed recently that ebay seems to need more computer resources than previously.

Also outlook on XP is outdated.

Thanks for your input profgaz but i use xp because my scanner is not supported by win 10 .and much of my old serial and parrallel port stuff has problems with win 10 .
one thing i have noticed since my change to outlook it comes up with a warning when i display a bought item email from ebay that displays only half the pics and that is this HTML message contains scripts and that outlook cant display scripts so maybe that is why?

Ive been looking into this in more detail and it seems that the reason for not displaying some pics is the USE by some senders of JavaScripts in the body of the sent emails to display the pics my set up does not allow java and i use an email client not web mail which i beleive does allow scripts to be sent and displayed so it seems to me its the blinkered coders who set up the email systems of these companies that dont do enough research into system use by customers from what ive learnt due to this is using scripts in emails is asking for trouble to spread virus activity so some how the experts in this field are not doing anyone any favours using scripts

They are not researching anything to do with XP anymore.
I can understand your reasons for not wanting to upgrade but your PC is in danger whilst connected to the net.
However its your choice. Just make sure, you've got any important docs backed up to an offline drive.

I must say ive been using xp such a long time now and have got to know most things about it Ive been hit many a time with viruses like the ransom ones a few times but know the machine so well i can get out of it without losing data i always have it backed up just in case funily the last time i was hit with the ransom one it came from Facebook in their suggested websites pane ... Ive always found the best thing if your hit with the ransome one immediatly the screen comes up pull the mains plug drastic i know but never shut down normally as thats when it replicates then do a full scan i use malware bytes hijack this and a couple of other root kit scanners and look through the registry to see if anything knew or odds been added and comodo keeps me out of serious trouble ive always found win 10 to be more hands off do things for you which sometimes annoys me wont let me do what i want but then thats more a personel preferance many tablets are always downloading updates ect everytime you log in which i find intrusive and annoying probably just taking info about you and loading advert preferances to monitor your trends modern isnt always best better the devil you know ...ha ha plus i dont have to upgrade all my extra kit some of which isnt obtainable anymore as for these modern programmers using scripts in emails well enough said ....thanks again for your input

Just logged in to my BT webmail account and hey presto blank mails not blank and missing pics are now in the emails
SO EBAY ARE ONLY setting up emails to be displayed properly on web mail anyone using xp with a email client will get blank or missing pic emails NOW THATS PROGRESS FOR YOU

I loved XP too, had it for years and years and kept it even after 10 came out but then it was time for a new PC so I upgraded and luckily most other things I use are still compatible. Although still waiting for a patch for the odd game or two.

Doubt its your email client giving you blank emails, I've had the odd one too. They don't seem to know what they're doing with some updates. As you say, that progress for you.
