Disclosing identity

When you try to contact a seller of a classified listing, ebay will not let you send them a message untill you agree to send them your full name, phone number, email address and your post code. Then the seller will refuse to give you their contact number. This is not fair because the seller here is treating buyers as potential crooks, though they have all their personal information. The least ebay shoud do is insure classified item sellers display their contact number, or at least make sure that exchanging contact details does not brake ebay rules. I can't see why the seller should have all my personal data and I, the buyer, don't have any of theirs.

Classified ads should have sellers contact info.

There is no need to go through ebay, as all dealings are direct with seller.

Be aware that there is NO ebay protection for classified ads or vehicles.

If sellers is being cagey, then probably a SCAM!
