Closing an account

I'm trying to close my account but the following message appears: 

Your account can't be closed at this time

We can't close your account at present because:

• We can't close your account yet because you still have active subscriptions. To cancel your subscriptions, log in to My eBay. Under "My Account", select "Subscriptions". Select the Unsubscribe link next to any active subscriptions. 
• I'm not subscribed. Why is this happening?

Your based in Greece with a UK Account?  However you have had a recent Sale so won't be able to Close your Account for awhile. Ebay need to be able to Contact you if there are any Buyer issues they need you to deal with.

Enter "Closing your Account" into Help and Contact at the very foot of the Page to start the process.
