Checkout and PayPal

Just purchased an item, paying with paypal and all was OK.
.
Now I've just tried to pay for another item and I'm being asked to verify/logon to paypal. Why ?
.
Also, I'm logged onto my paypal account in another browser window and STILL being asked for password/logon. Why ?
.
I don't trust being asked to give my PayPal ID and Password via checkout

ebay are severing their links with paypal and offering buyers other ways to pay

if you purchase from a seller that has already been moved over to ebays new managed payments you will have to log into paypal to pay if you choose paypal as your payment option
