Buyer says Item Not Received

I sold a gold item and the buyer said they did not receive it.  Could they have received it and are just 'pulling a fast one'?

If you don't have a tracking number to show delivery, you'll need to refund your buyer. There's no way of knowing if the package arrived with the buyer, or not. Millions of packages do go missing each year but, by the same token, there are some bad buyers out there.

Tell them to open an eBay item not received dispute so you can refund them. This way eBay can log the amount of claims that the buyer makes, and if you refund immediately you'll get an eBay fee credit, and no defect against your account.

You can claim from Royal Mail if you have a proof of posting slip from your Post Office.
