Buyer requests refund

Hi I have received a request for a refund from someone who bought something from me 6 weeks ago saying they never received it. I do keep proof of posting for a while and have asked her for the address the parcel was sent to but as yet she hasn't responded.  Do you think 6 weeks is a long time to leave it before querying? Would you refund? Do I have a choice?  Any opinions would be helpful please. Thank you in advance.

Buyer is probably out of time, they have 30 days from estimated delovery date to open a NOT RECEIVED CASE, however if they paid by Paypal they have 180 days to open a case with them.

BUYER must open a case, and if so unless you have tracked proof of delivery you must refund.

Your Proof of Posting should be kept for up to 13 months to protect against Charge Backs, and can also be used to support a claim on Royal Mail for loss.

You MUST always only post to the address asadvised by ebay.

I have proof of posting only, take it that's not enough?

I will wait for a reply from the buying and go from there, but it does sound like I will have to refund. 😒
