Hi,
I'm sure this happens quite a bit but I couldn't find relevant help content on the eBay site and their chatbot was giving me the opposite info to what I was asking for... So, wondering if an experienced seller could advise please.
I sold an item 6 days ago, listed as collection only. Payment was received almost immediately through eBay managed payments. I messaged the buyer thanking them for their purchase and asking when they'd like to collect. No response so far. The buyer lives about 40 miles (1 hour) away so it's not like it's the other end of the country.
I know it's only been 6 days and I know there can be valid reasons like the buyer could be away or ill and that's fine. At this stage I really just want to know if there are rules and etiquette around how to handle this scenario. Should I send a follow up message? Can I cancel the sale if I don't hear back after a certain amount of time and if so does the buyer need to agree to the cancellation? Can they still leave negative feedback after this, and will I still incur fees?
Thanks in advance.
