My buyer has not received the item she paid for back in November. *** have asked me for proof of postage, proof of purchase which I have supplied. ***acknowledge they have had these documents from me. The tracking shows that the courier collected the parcel and somewhere in the chain the parcel has got lost. ** do not provide telephone contact but I have written chasing up my complaint and have also escalated within their process. . I have provided my buyer with copies of all the email exchange's.I' have also offered the buyer a 50% refund in the interim period, with a promise of reimbursing the total amount if *** reply to my complaint and reimburse me.mcurrently PayPal have withheld my payment so I have not been paid and I do not have the item. Does the community think this is fair or have any suggestions
thank you
Hi
Nope it is not fair if the item is lost and its way beyond its estimated delivery date.
The buyer opens a not received case under Ebays money back guarantee and you refund them if you cannot prove delivery by a tracked means. If Ebay force the refund then you will receive a damaging defect on your own account.
It is not fair to make the buyer wait to see the outcome of your claim for compensation from the carrier. If the item is truly lost your claim for compensation from the carrier is nothing to do with your buyer.
