I sold item to buyer on 19th February 2021.  I was late sending item to buyer due to a family anniversary i.e. my mum's 10th anniversary (this is not an excuse, it's the truth).  I put a Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm on polylope and uploaded tracking number to my lsting.  I did not select free postage on my listing.  Item sold for £4.  I posted item in the Post Box on a Sunday (last week) which was probably a silly thing to do.  Buyer said she received a Royal Mail grey card with a fee to pay of £8.15.  I know now what I did was stupid and will not do this again.

You need to understand the postal system.  Just adding a Specal Delivery label achieves nothing unless it is PAID for and passes over the Post Office Counter.

I hope at the very least you have refunded the buyer!

FREE POSTAGE is not free, the price which you still have to pay is included in the sale price.

Made refund to buyer of £4. Paypal deducted 12p, so I actually refunded buyer £3.88. Refund is still pending according to Paypal
