Buyer advice wanted

Hi all,

I purchased a flag from a seller and it said on the listing that it would be posted, I paid for the item once I won it and without my knowledge, arrangement the seller arrived at my home and gave me the flag in person.

This was not only a surprise but scary given the covid-19 outbreak and this was an unplanned visit. The seller is now refusing to refund the postage cost is there anything I can do?

You can't really penalise the seller for asking for postage costs as there not to know what part of the country the flag would be going to when the listing ended. It appears you were local to him and he thought Naively he would do you a favour and deliver it.

You received the flag quickly, and all in one piece,(not necessarily guaranteed via the postal systems) and  delivery by any means, is never free,so no comeback via ebay for a refund.

Just enjoy the flag and the personal service 😉

It was not a good idea of the seller to deliver in person and just to turn up.

It would have cost them something to deliver and  you received it safely and probably quicker without having to go through the post.

How much was the postage on the item?
