I had a wierd moment to be honest. Have been searchin for hours today after first hearing about the promotion. nearly wet myself a few times as i didnt want to leave the pc alone. Anyway I decided enough was enough and that I was off to buy some beers. Went upstairs and popped the trainers on.... picked up the coat from the bannister....grabbed the door handle ....and thought..just one refresh before I go. BANG..my search came up and I won something for the first time in my life.... DING DANG DOO .... HAVE IT!!!

A case of right place, right time, as I wasn't doing any of this string searching I've heard about.

It's impossible to describe the feeling that comes over you when you realise you've won. I was shaking so much I could hardly type!!!

I love the treasure hunts and despite a visit from the NSPCC for the neglect of my son and my husband not speaking to me because I robbed him of precious Championship Manager Hours. Ive still not managed to win anything. I also seem to be stuck in a perminant sitting postion :^O. Roll on Tommorow.

I am trying hard to think what a ghostly glow in the corner has to do with a carol. I am obviously thick because I am sure I am chasing something that has already gone. I am feeling excited about a treatsure hunt but still a little unsure of what the hell is going on. I think I will go and read the instructions as everyone else seems to be having a great time.

Was looking for auctions for this treasure hunt, got excited seen a video camera, rushed in and bid thought I would lose it to someone else.


Guess what it was a bogus auction, set-up to cash in on this treasure hunt.

Got an email with verse of a carol..doh!

#110 If your mouse is a microsoft one, take the ball out, undo the single screw that holds the mouse together. Unclip the top of the mouse and you'll see the wheel clips into two plastic tabs. If they're broken - uh-oh. If they aren't - push it back in.

My treasure hunting story : spend two hours searching for 'fairy, angel, star' etc. An album then appears in the listings which I have wanted for ages. As I click on it, I am subconsciously aware of "lifetime supply of fairy liquid" sitting just above it in the list. ARGH!!!

Still, I got the album. And I have a laptop already. Nice one eBay. 🙂

I just want to say "thanks ebay" for a competition where I had an opportunity to win. It's a bugbear of mine that competitions are either entirely luck when you're lucky to have a million to one chance, require some financial input (which I can't afford) or some activity that I cannot manage (I'm ill). Although there is an element of luck regarding the timing of when you refresh the search page and when the listing appears, it also involves some brain power to search for the right thing. This brings a sense of achievement as well as luck when you win! SO, thanks ebay for a comp where everyone has a chance, even the poor and disabled.

My hands havent stopped shaking for 2 days where iv been so close to winning..but just not close enough..
Its also very educational..iv learnt everything about partridges,charles dickens,mince pies.and today im learning about tinsel.
Im going to teach my children how to search now for when i have to run to the toilet

I apologise if this has been asked already. Just discovered this treasure hunt thingy last night. My question, if you miss a clue does that mean you have missed it altogether. I read the first clue last night but missed the breakfast one. Is it displayed somewhere or have I missed it period?

Why can't I find the clues? Whenever I log on to the treasure hunt home page there are no clues on it. It makes it a tad dificult to look for treasure with no clue. Can anyone help?
