gardening question.....

I would like a plant that will be excellent ground cover, no more than say 6" high at the most. It has to be able to survive in sun or partial shade, clay soil but it is well drained.

any ideas please?

OMG nooooooo:_| the garden was covered in the stuff when we moved in a year ago. I've had to work like stink to get rid of 90% of it, it's lovely to look at but it chokes everything.

No, what I'm after is something that would cover like a wee carpet, not too rambling in it's habit, more compact iyswim...but would cover the bare soil under the apple, pear, and other shrubs.

I have an area under a huge yew tree which is subject to a TPO :_| despite being wholly inappropriate for the site in terms of scale (town garden) Grass won't take off under it, nor will much else 😞

I have however found that .. .. oh horrors, I,ve forgotten the name, oh Lordy.. .. erm it's .. ..

I'll have to come back with the name..

Anyway, I've planted several varieties & it's spreading nicely 😄

I have that green MYOB & it is very invasive. It covers everything!

The name for a small cat over here is something rather different in the US! :^O

It dies back in the winter.

My husband always said about the moss in the grass "Well, it`s green"

Life is too short to worry about the blasted grass having a few weeds in it !!

My myob grows in the shade up against an old stone cattle trough and looks lovely as well as providing a home for lots of wildlife

Doesn`t thrive in direct sunlight very well as it just shrivels up

You can always pot some up and flog it for MDCC !!

I find it difficult to strike

I just pull it up when in gets too much but am always pleased to see some return each spring as its such a lovely bright green
