Windy Wednesday's winter warmers (tea thread)

Tonight we are having Old El Paso one pan rice meal for chicken. Something warming is needed as it is cold and windy outside here.

We'll be having breaded cod with mushy peas.  Something warm is definitely needed when it's cold.

We were having a chili soup thingy but Lidl had run out of kidney beans so now it's sausages, hash browns and beans - probably.

we had chicken, sweet potato and butternut squash and onions (again!) sprouts and fried potatoes. Then we had lemon muffins I made this morning.

I'm well stuffed now but oooooh it was good.

Did I hear lemon muffins? Can I put my order in now before black adder gets in first, cos I'm still seething about missing out on the egg & bacon pie! Sam

Captain Bovines culinary creations are popular.  She may even ask us to form an orderly queue for the lemon muffins.

Ooooh, I could fancy a lemon muffin.

It will be chinese takeaway, no idea what as it doesn't matter what I order, I will end up with enough free stuff to feed us both for the next week. I will probably just order a spring roll and see what arrives.

I helped the family sort out a DLA claim for one of the youngsters after he lost his feet and most of his fingers when he had meningitis. I also helped them to sort out transport to and from school for him, and ever since they refuse to let us pay for anything.

We had Cottage pie and chips, only a small one for me as I am off to skittles tonight so might just have to have a snack.

Lovely lemon muffins CB my favourite.

A bag of wine gums!
Had a lunch at our local eat-as-much oriental buffet with a group from work & was still stuffed but got home & hubby had left a bag of my favourite wine gums on my chair before he went to work, so that was tea sorted!

I've got some friends coming over for a buffet this evening so I've just got salady stuff and sausage rolls, scotch eggs, pastrami, cheeses, BACON AND EGG PIE (not the same one, that was just a practice run, although this one got a bit well done 'cos the tesco delivery arrived) and a chocolate cake and a blackcurrant cheesecake.  Smiley Happy

Well I'm not cooking!  They'll have salad and mints to follow, that should warm them up!
