Have you got a gun?

We once found a cow down ours.  And just over the fence into the field the police found an old lady that was missing.  The two weren't connected at all.:|

I'd panic if I saw either fox cubs or cow in our garden as they couldn't get into the back garden at all as we have high gates.  We do live near a couple of farms though.  As for the old lady, we haven't found one - yet.

I left the shed door open last night & all the (washed) dog food cans in the recycling bin were all over the garden this morning! No idea what did it! Hoping it wasn't foxes.

Depends where they were I think Maggie.  If they were on the floor it could have been dog (including fox), cat, hedgehog or rat.  If they were higher than 1 foot, all except hedgehog I would say.

Foxes (adult and/or cubs).  Hungry.

My local fox family have a shoe and glove fixation. I don't know where they find them, but they dump them in my garden - I picked a black bin-bag full last week. Odd shoes, generally, not pairs, boots and trainers - and chrome leather work gloves.

The day after I picked that lot up there was a pair of socks and leggings. X-(:^O

The cans were washed out but obviously whatever it was still smelled something! Rat poison going down later!

Wouldn't have been rats, you know. They wouldn't have needed the shed door left open, and they wouldn't have bothered to drag empty tin cans round the garden (rats aren't daft).

Definitely foxes, and probably cubs "learning through play". No need for rat poison - just keep the shed door shut...

They must have got over a five foot fence whatever did it. Shed door is shut tonight. There were scratch marks on the can labels.

Foxes.

Playing tig on my kitchen roof (3.30am!). Only sound was the tiles rattling. That's only two of them - there were four cubs, with mamma on the ground keeping an eye on them.

Ground to coal-bunker to shed roof to kitchen roof to shed roof to next-door's wendy house to ground to wendy house to shed roof to kitchen roof to shed roof to ground (fell off!) to wendy house to shed roof to kitchen roof - you get the picture - made me dizzy...

They will easily scramble over a six foot fence.

We have 6ft stock fencing round each chicken coop but they can climb that.  They also dig dig under it so you have to bury it in the ground.  We've known them attack and kill full grown geese.X-(

I love Foxes but i know they can be damaging and have attacked people. I live right in the centre of a town and see foxes frequently and hear them barking and clacking outside my flats in the night. I got up a couple of weeks ago and there was a baby and mother out in the car park. And going to work i came out the flats and one stood a couple of feet away and just looked at me , not scared at all. I watched the programme on telly a while ago about Urban Foxes. very interesting. :-x
