Well what to have, I took some homemade chilli out of the freezer this morning intending to have chilli and wedges for tea..............however it is so bloomin hot here I think I might do something else, I have a hankering for beetroot....................

oooh I love beetroot, Ed, try slicing some thin with some onions, alternate layers in a jar, add malt vinegar. screw on lid and store in a cupboard for 2wks if you can leave it alone that is. Makes the most fabby butty on the planet. If you like you could add some cheese but hey why spoil the beetroot???

we had home breaded cod loin with new spuddies and cauli. It was nice, beautiful fish 1/2 price from Mr T, there is apple crumble if anyone wants some.....and I know who'll be first in the queue with a BIG spoon!!!!

I haven't decided yet. I have a huge turkey thigh to use up though - maybe that and a cook-in sauce and freeze the rest
