I'm online, so I am saying hello.
Grey and chilly outside, so I am quite happy to be tucked up in bed.
Had a lovely chat with grandson on facebook, I have never known him to say so much without being prompted. He was telling me all about having his face painted with a blue butterfly ysterday, and that he's going to have a rainbow painted today.

I'm glad that you had a lovely chat with your grandson Stroppy. How old is he? Hope that he enjoyed having his face painted.
It seems to have got windier here now. It's quite cool as well. It's more like winter than August.

You're right Rose. It is getting chilly. We had the heating on for about 15 minutes so that the bathroom would warm up for my mum having a shower. It's looking an awful lot like it's going to rain again here anytime soon. On the weather forecast earlier, it said that there could be gusts of wind of up to 50mph. I don't like when it's so windy.

It's alright CG. I wasn't taking much notice anyway.

Does anyone else remember having such strong winds in August?
17-08-2014 8:20 PM
No wind here.

I've never known weather like this in August. I think you're lucky CG. The wind has got stronger as the day has gone on. We've got weather warnings for wind for the rest of today and into tomorrow.

So you say CG....but there's summat wafting from your direction.....

it was supposed to be windy here today and lots of rain, but we had two downpours and hardly windy at all. Lovely day to be in the garden which we did.

Morning all. At least the wind has dropped a lot and the sun is out. It still feels cool like a real autumnal morning.

Grandson is 5, he has autism so isn't often "chatty". Usually you have to keep asking him questions and you are lucky if you get "yes" or "no"
