SATURDAY'S tea thread

Tonight I am being lazy (again).

Having a Chinese takeaway. However the best one is the next village so am going to be naughty and pay the £1 delivery charge for somebody to bring it round to me. If I caught the bus to get it it would cost me £4.50 return ticket anyway.

Think I will have two dishes (Vegetable Yuk Sung, and Vegetarian Special) and mix half of one with half of the other - that way I still have half of each to re-heat tomorrow.

Home cooked Chinese spare ribs and corn on the cob for me and pizza and spaghetti for him then trifle for both.

I just made a plum and apple crumble, and I had crumble left so used it to make another with  a tin of peaches.  He'll eat all that, I won't.

Took a picnic out today & still have loads of nibbles left (I do tend to overdo it). We were going to get a chinese tonight but I'm just going to cook some savoury rice to go with the leftover chicken drumsticks & we'll finish the rest of the french bread & pate, sausage roll, tortillas & dips & the butterscotch mousses.

Our chinese meal was safely delivered and there is enough left over to re-heat tomorrow for Sunday evening snack. Roast for dinner with about 10 different veg.

Just sat here nibbling on the remainder of the prawn crackers....well they have to be eaten today otherwise they would go soggy overnight and wouldn't want to throw them away LOL
